Few days ago, Leading Oriental themed Metal band Ahl Sina finally released another single from their upcoming long-waited album "Troops of Pain". The Single is entitled “The Gift” 

After long years of hard work, searching, and building original dynamic tunes, Ahl Sina recorded stuff starts to come to light. The album is scheduled to be released in next January.

The Memo

Ahl Sina is still impressing our hearts and souls with their music. A real unique oriental musical combination rises from the black lands of the Nile banks, the fruitful heritage of the Egyptian pre-colonialism music. Ahl Sina’s “The Gift” which is a real gift for our Scene is a clear, vivid evidence for the beauty and uniqueness of Ahl Sina’s music.

The track starts with echoing Folk song as a short introduction for our mother native culture, then the early sounds of Nai (flute) flies in the air supported by atmospheric/ambient sounds. 

Those sounds are just bring to your mind the image of our Mother Earth hanging in the space with its brightening blue shade!

After that , charming guitar tunes and bass supported by Nai, and drums steal your soul and ears into a deep melancholic mood, just call your mind to have a deep look around you, and ask yourself “Why?” “Why did we destroy ourselves?” “Why is the notes of red hatred are above?” “Why did the man destroy the gifted nature?” 

Then, the clean vocal lines start to narrate the story of us! The story of existence, or the first 6 days in the history of this existence! You may feel that the lyrics are greatly poetic! Why? Because simply the story of the existence are mainly narrated and explained in certain sources which follow certain poetic standards! So I feel that the lyrics are highly poetic, charming and clear! 

Next, the music and vocals take us into the upcoming chapter of the story of humanity and the first days for humans on Earth after the fall from heavens. 

It starts to be more extreme, and faster with growling and in my point of view it is the best way to reflect the dilemma of the human! The dilemma of all time fight, all time conflict, the war between good and evil! The conflict between war and peace! The war between purity and hypocrisy! 

The Nai and the violin sounds still dominant and still beautify the music, plus they are as a reminder for man! They remind him with the beauty of the first world that went into destruction and ugliness!

The variety between clean, spoken and growling is just a clear reflection for the madness of the world we dwell! A reflection for the everlasting circle we are trapped in!

To sum up, “The Gift” is a phenomenal track not only thematically but technically! The ways of organizing the lines, the shift between Violin and Nai, the blasting sounds of drums and purcussion, and the wonders of guitar riffs and sounds.
