EXCLUSIVE: French Heavy Metal Pioneers Nightmare Speak about their Upcoming Performance in Cairo

As Metal Blast Festival is getting closer, I want to give the fans another warming up chance that’s why I had this short interview with Nightmare’s Vocalist/Bassist Yves Campion regarding Nightmare’s upcoming performance in Egypt!

1-Guys, I am really excited to see here in Cairo, and to witness your performance in Metal Blast Festival. Did you hear about Metal Blast before? And How did Metal Blast Team contact you?

Thank you very much, we are very excited as well cause it will be our first time in a country with such an history... This is always for us a great challenge but also a great pleasure to discover new fans around the world... 
Didn't hear about Metal Blast before and we got in contact with the promoter through a friend of us... And from there all went very fast and we set up an agreement to come...





2-Performing in Egypt, and for the Egyptian Metalheads for the first time in your career, How do you think of that? Do you have any former impression about the Metal scene there?

As I said before its always a real challenge to peform for a new audience and for a new country for us and we are all very excited about it! We don't know very much about the metal scene here but what we think is very interesting in countries like yours is that not many concerts happen and people are always warm and cool with their hospitality. 

In europe a lot of the audience sees so many conceets all the time and sometimes they feel bored. That why for us it's always very cool to travel in other continents!





3-Are you in contact with Egyptian Metal bands, or Middle Eastern Metal bands currently?

We are in close contact with a few metal promoters in the middle east especially in Dubai where we played two times. Of course everybody knows Myrath also from Tunisia and we are good friends with Ascendant from Dubai ... 


4-I know you performed in the Middle East before, How was your experience?

Always aweesome! People are so addicted to metal there and the response of the audience was more than great. That why we are in the same mood before going to egypt and very excited to meet all you there!






5-I want to ask you for a favor, Would you exclusively reveal a one track or two from your performance in Cairo Setlist? Let our Metalheads warm up their ears!

Ok but 2 not more ! Lol !!! I guarantee you that we will play the two songs from which we did video clips : Ikarus and Serpentine so I advised all metalheads from Egypt to ckeck them out as we want to see everybody to sing them with us :

Before 2023 Edition, Get to Know Wacken Metal Battle Egypt History

On March 3, Cairo will see a new edition of Wacken Metal Battle Egypt. The upcoming edition is the fourth in the history of the Egyptian Metal scene. Although the local scene witnessed three editions, only two Egyptian Metal bands stepped into the global stage of the most prestigious Metal battles. The Metal Divas: Female Metal Voices Around the World VII

As we are celebrating our comeback I think that it will be great to check a new part from our The Metal Divas series.
