The Story
Last month, I was scrolling down the Egyptian Metal groups, and I noticed that a big number of my friends are talking about new Hinayana's album.
Actually, I used to provide reviews for different Metal websites in the Middle East since 2013, till I decided to establish my own blog, and to concentrate my writings for one place, Last May.
Thankfully, my blogs achieve good success, so I ma continuing my work, and I liked to check Hinayana's "Order Divine."
Band Background
Hinayana is a Melodic Death/ Doom Metal band from the USA, founded in 2014, by Casey Hurd, and Daniel Vieira. The band released its first full length album few months ago, entitled "Order Divine."
Hinayana will share the stage with Carach Angern, and WolfHeart in October.

The Review
I can't deny that the album is really dynamic, and enjoyable one. I like the band's distinct sound so much, and the melodic powerful atmosphere introduced through the album.
The intro is so nice one, and it is a good initiative for your journey with "Order Divine". Moving to "The Window", I usually combine the lyrical theme analysis with the music, as it gives me a complete vision for the song, and the concept of window is somehow confusing, the window is a space to see the external world through it, or a window to look inside your own self.
And actually, both concepts could be traced through the song, the riffs are some dynamic, aching, and accompanied with atmospheric/ambient sounds.
Also, the music is full with winter-ish sounds, even some tunes are influenced with classic style as a background of the solo.
"Arise" is a great example of rising, and standing again, in my point of view is is heavier and faster than the previous one. I like the flow of rhythms, and the harmony between the guitars. Those ringing sounds in the ears, bring you the feelings of fight, anger, and struggle.
The upcoming one is "Order Divine", the style of the melodies of the intro make me feel that the music is accompanied with tasty atmospheric/ambient background. The tempo of the track is closer to Melodic Death/Doom Metal.
"Order Divine" carries strange mood of sadness, negativity, you can trace this in the performance of the vocals, and the movements of the riffs. The riffs are aching your wounds, shaking your own pain. I like also the final part of the song, there is a strange note appeared during this noise, It adds another level of deepness.
"Revelation" carries the same melodic combination, but in a deeper sense, it is like being lost in your maze of overthinking, trying to find answers for many dilemmas. In 2:40, there is beautiful part, it is mostly Post-Rock influenced part. While the drums beats in the last part of the track like a reminder of your pain, overthinking, sadness.
"Return to Nothing" as the title reflects the mood, it is opened with alerting sounds of guitar, with somehow calm mood and whispers for 55 seconds, then the riffs are turned to be into Hinayana's unique melodic style. I think, "Return to Nothing" is the most complicated track in this album, not only in performance, but also the sounds of the guitars, the used melodies, it is like a wave of memories, of past callings.
Finally "Conduit Closing", the intro is somehow depressed one, but the following part is amusing, attractive, I like it so much, especially it touches my inner senses, it is closer "Eternal Tears of Sorrow" style. The track carries more atmospheric/ambient parts as the intro, and other parts in the heart of the track.
Actually, the album is a really great one, you have a beautiful piece of rhythms, sounds, that attract your own mind to be involved in this flow. You can't prevent your own feelings to be combined in the heart of melodies. Hinayana is a sign of Melodic Death/Doom Metal bright future, not only in terms of performance, but also in terms of composition, the melodies are highly harmonized, arranged, and beautifully supported with atmospheric/ambient winterish sounds, like Insomnium, and Eternal Tears of Sorrow.
As for me, I wish Hinayana of the future try to add some keys sounds, or other kinds of strings as Violin, or acoustic parts.
Rate: 9/10
