EXCLUSIVE: October Tide’s Fredrik Norman Talks about October Tide’s Upcoming Performance

Only 7 days left and our brothers in Dubai will have a special Halloween night headlined by October Dubai and organized by the leading JoScene.

Considered as one of the most influential Death/Doom Metal bands, This performance is the first for the band in the region.

I contacted October Tide’s Guitarist Fredrik Norman to share with us some thoughts about this performance.

Hello Fredrik, Welcome to the Middle East. I want to ask you first about how JoScene contacted you.

Hi, It was actually we who contacted JoScene to let them know we were interested in playing in Dubai. Later on they got back to us with a date. We dont play live that often so it’s really nice to play these, at least for us, special places.

You will headline a Halloween Night. Do you have any certain selection for your Halloween concert setlist?

Actually, We’ll play all the hits from all 5 albums. Just as simple as that 😊

As you are going to perform in the Middle East for the first time, Do you follow the scene in the Middle East, Are you on contact with Middle Eastern bands?

No I’m afraid not. On the other hand I’m not following any scenes at the moment. I’m also a bit conservative when it comes to my metal. Still prefer the 80/90 death Metal scene.
