Dubai Metal Fest: Moonspell's Fernando Ribeiro Discusses Upcoming Performance

Two of the biggest Metal forces in Dubai, JoScene & Metal East Records, are working together for the first Dubai Metal Festival on November 25 and 26. The Festival will be headlined by the world famed Moonspell and Lacuna Coil.

The Metal Sister blog had the chance to talk with Moonspell's Fernando Ribeiro.
Starting with the band's background about the Metal scene in the Middle East and the active bands in the region, Ribeiro said: "I am very proud of any Metal band getting together and fighting for their music and their right to make it.

He added: "I've been in touch with some bands from the Middle East like New Carnis, Scarab, Kimaera, and others.

"I am very curious to watch some of the bands sharing the stage with us."

Next, the artist continued: "Unlike politics or religion, music connects rather than dividing and one thing that makes me smile is to know that Moonspell fans come from every country and that we influence each other in a way."

The second question was about the band's impression to play in Dubai, Moonspell Vocalist highlighted: "We’ve been trying for many years to play Dubai and it will finally happen so I am quite happy about it. I know, Dubai is a hub where many people will come to watch us from several countries around, and it’s a one-time opportunity to entertain these people and show them a good time."

About concerning this performance as part of the band's 30-year career, Ribeiro said: "That’s our mission on Earth and yes, we will bring our Moonspell 30 years legacy to Dubai!"

Talking about headlining the festival with Lacuna Coil, Moonspell's frontman said: "We just know Lacuna Coil, to be honest, but look so forward to sharing the stage with such local heroes like the bands playing in our day."

He added: "It will be a beautiful thing to celebrate this brotherhood with bands from Iran or UAE. Can’t wait to shake their hands and thank them for sharing the stage with us. As for Lacuna Coil, we come a long way, they are a lovely band and our brothers and sister too!"

About the performance's playlist, Moonspell vocalist revealed: "We will make a setlist more based on old stuff as we celebrate 30 years in 2022! So expect all the classics and evergreens. Moonspell plays for the crowd and we made sure they get want they want!"

Finally, he concluded his talk with a short message, saying: "Thanks for the interview, see you in Dubai, under the spell!!!

"Thanks for all the support, Moonspell loves you wolfpack!"

This part is full of power with slight changes in our format to be easier to follow!     Adrastea (Greece ) A great voice shining from the lands of Hera and Zeus, Adrastea is rocking the Greek Metal Scene with her band Entropy Devine.  We  started with Adrastea by asking her about how she started her career.  "   I have been singing since I can remember myself. I was always a rocker so I remember I would always find a way to secretly sneak into music related activities.  I was not allowed to learn music, cause, you know  I am a woman and I should do all that society expects from a woman and nothing more.)  So I figured creative ways of doing so as a part of my Rock 'N Roll rebellion while  growing up,"  she answered. Next, we asked her about how she met her band mates.   " From an ad in search
